After taking last year off from the Silver State 508 I am racing this year with the 4-man team of the Racing Roosters at the Silver State 508! On Saturday, September 19th I'll compete in my 5th 508 which was originally known as the Furnace Creek 508, and is now known at the Silver State 508 hosted by This 508 mile non-stop ultra endurance cycling race tests not only one's physical abilities but also the mental toughness of every racer. As a part of Rooster Racing's Racing Roosters squad, the race will also demonstrate teamwork and the Do Good - Ride Hard - Live Well spirit that represents Rooster Racing.
While a finish this year will confirm my eligibility as a 508 Hall of Fame inductee, I am most proud of the fact that since the beginning, my quest for a successful race has been tied to my passion to represent those fighting Primary Immunodeficiency (PI) diseases in cooperation with the Jeffrey Modell Foundation I am so proud to have been able to play a very small part in the amazing efforts of Vicki and Fred Modell who started the foundation in honor of their son who sadly lost his battle to PI, and I will do so once again this year.
