Recap of the off week and the DMD is only days away...

After the prior week of covering most of the state by car with skiing in Tahoe with my daughter on Monday through Wednesday and then traveling to Southern California for first of the Stage Race Series with the Mulholland Double Century, it was nice to be home last week. As far as riding, it was a light week with a short 50 mile ride with the Valley Wheelers Saturday. As I prepare for Stage 2 of the Stage Race Series (the Devil Mountain Double) on Saturday, I'll get one or two short (20 miles or less) rides in this week and try to get a couple of days in at the gym.

With a 5AM start time on Saturday, Thursday night is going to be the last opportunity for good nights sleep.
If you are in the bay area and want to come on out and cheer the riders on Saturday, you'll find us at the San Ramon Marriott at 5 AM and then climbing one of the 9 climbs (Diablo, Morgan Territory, Patterson, Mines, Hamilton, Sierra, Calaveras, Palomares, and Norris) over the course of the 206 miles and more than 20,000 feet of climbing.
